Fasting, Prayer and Daily Devotion
King’s Table Holy Consecration 2026
Theme: Total Commitment
Theme Scripture: Luke 22:42 (NKJV)
“Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”
WEEK 1 (Wed., February 18 –Sat., February 21)
COMMITMENT TO RELATIONSHIP (INTIMACY WITH GOD)
Why This Matters:
To God:
God desires relationship, not ritual.
Hosea 6:6 (NKJV)
“For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”
To You:
Intimacy produces stability and obedience.
To Others:
We are living epistles (2 Corinthians 3:2).
To Family, Church & Community:
A God-connected believer brings peace, wisdom, and light.
DAY 1 (Wed Feb 18)
"Not My Will”
Scripture: Luke 22:41–42 (NKJV)
“And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, ‘Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.’”
Reflection Question:
What am I still trying to control instead of surrender?
Action:
Write three areas where God is calling for deeper surrender.
Journal Prompt:
“What does total commitment to God look like in my real life?”
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You knelt in surrender when Your flesh wanted escape. You chose obedience when pain was ahead. Today I bring You my will, my plans, my preferences, and my fears. I confess that I often want Your blessing without Your direction, and Your promises without Your process. Search me and show me every place where I am resisting You. I lay down my control and my understanding and I choose Your will over mine. Teach me how to trust You when obedience is costly. Shape my heart to love what You love and to desire what You desire. Make my life a living sacrifice that honors You. I commit myself fully to You — spirit, soul, and body. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
DAY 2 (Thu Feb 19)
“Draw Near”
Scripture:
James 4:8 (NKJV)
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
Reflection Question:
How intentional am I about spending time with God?
Action:
Schedule quiet time with God today.
Journal Prompt:
“What distractions compete with my intimacy with God?”
Prayer:
Father God, today I draw near to You because I need Your presence more than I need answers. I confess that there have been moments when I allowed distractions, busyness, and weariness to pull me away from You. Cleanse my hands from sinful habits and purify my heart from divided loyalty. Remove double-mindedness from me and restore a single devotion to You. I want intimacy, not distance; obedience, not excuses; fellowship, not formality. Teach me how to linger in Your presence and how to hear Your voice clearly. Let my nearness to You change my desires, my thoughts, and my decisions. I want to walk closely with You every day of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
DAY 3 (Fri Feb 20)
“One Thing”
Scripture:
Psalm 27:4 (NKJV)
“One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple.”
Reflection Question:
Is God my “one thing” or one of many things?
Action:
Remove one unnecessary distraction from your daily routine.
Journal Prompt:
“What competes for first place in my heart?”
Prayer:
Lord, You know every competing affection in my heart. You see every desire that tries to rival You for first place. Today I declare that You are my one true desire. Strip away every idol, every distraction, and every misplaced priority that has crowded You out. Teach me how to seek You above success, comfort, and approval. I want to behold Your beauty and to inquire in Your presence. Reorder my loves until You sit enthroned in my heart. May my hunger for You be greater than my hunger for anything else. Let my life testify that You alone are worthy of first place. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
DAY 4 (Sat Feb 21)
“Abide in Me”
Scripture:
John 15:4–5 (NKJV)
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
Reflection Question:
Am I producing fruit or just activity?
Action:
Spend 15 uninterrupted minutes in God’s presence.
Journal Prompt:
“What fruit do I desire to see in my life?”
Prayer:
Jesus, You are the true Vine, and I acknowledge that without You I can do nothing of eternal value. I confess that I have sometimes relied on my own strength, my own wisdom, and my own effort instead of remaining connected to You. Teach me how to abide — not occasionally, but continually. Let Your Word dwell in me richly and Your Spirit guide me daily. Prune away whatever hinders fruitfulness in my life. I want my character, my choices, and my conduct to reflect Your life flowing through me. Produce in me fruit that glorifies the Father and blesses others. I choose to remain in You today and always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
