Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. It symbolizes what God has done in our lives through Jesus Christ.
Just as Jesus died, was buried, and rose again, baptism represents our old life being buried and our new life in Christ beginning. As Romans 6:4 teaches, we are buried with Christ in baptism and raised to live a new life through Him.
